Aloha and thank you for taking the time to read about the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, Bronco Memorial Association. Our mission is to forever honor our fallen soldiers of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division.
In April of 2011, the 3rd BCT deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. This is their 4th deployment for both OIF and OEF since September 11, 2001.
Our primary goal is to raise enough funds to build a permanent memorial in honor of our fallen soldiers. This memorial will be located on Schofield Barracks. Additionally we would like to bring all bereaved families to Hawaii for a memorial ceremony to be held when the Combat Team returns home from Afghanistan. The donated funds will specifically go towards the memorial, airfare, hotel accommodations, and gifts for the families.
As a supporter of our brave troops, that continue this day and beyond to serve in harm’s way, your donation will help create a lasting and eternal tribute to their sacrifice.

Dear Soldiers Families & Friends,
It is with great gratitude that we recognize the past, present, and future Broncos – the sons and daughters who have proudly served. In our unit, our division, our Army and our nation, there are few more sacred places than the memorials that stand in remembrance of our brave Soldiers who have fought and died for their country.
I have been honored to know Families, friends and veterans of the Bronco Brigade who will come to pay tribute to loved ones who have given their lives in service of this nation. I have also been privileged to visit with our wounded warriors as they battle to recover from the traumas of war. At its core, the nobility of our Memorial can be found in the story of ordinary Americans who become extraordinary for the simplest reasons: They loved their country so deeply, so profoundly, that they were willing to give their lives to keep it safe and free. If you asked any Bronco Soldier or any of those troops in the past, they would have likely told you the same thing. Yes, we fought for freedom. Yes, we fought for our flag. But most of all, we fought for each other - to bring our buddies home; to keep our Families safe. And that's what they did; some to their last breath.
We honor the lives they led, the service they rendered, and the selfless sacrifices they've made for us. In this time of conflict, we pay special tribute to the many Soldiers who gave their lives during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and who have earned their place among the greatest of generations. And though our hearts ache in their absence, we find comfort in knowing that their legacy shines brightly on the people they loved: America's Gold Star families. Their cherished memory lives on in the love of their families, their spouses, their beautiful children, and in those who fought alongside them. Just as you keep alive the memory of your fallen loved ones, America and the Bronco Brigade must keep its commitment to you. This is our sacred trust to all who serve, and upholding that trust is a moral obligation.
Bronco Brigade Soldiers have once again answered the call to duty and some have made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure peace for the people of Afghanistan and protecting the freedom and liberties of the citizens of the United States. For this, our nation owes a debt of profound gratitude. We have returned to Afghanistan to ensure the overall success of Operation Enduring Freedom and set a promising path for the future of Eastern Afghanistan. 3rd BCT is currently focused on counter-insurgency operations in the provinces of Nangarhar, Nuristan, and Kunar (N2K) in partnership with the State Department, USAID, USDA, NATO allies, the United Nations, the Afghan Government, and Afghan National Security Forces.
Honoring our fallen Broncos through the 3rd BCT Memorial Association preserves their acts of heroism in defending America’s freedom forever. It is our goal to not only improve and maintain the 3rd BCT Memorial, but also honor our most recent fallen and their Families. The ceremony honoring the sacrifices of these Soldiers will commence after Task Force Bronco redeploys in the spring of 2012.
May God bless our fallen Heroes. May He comfort their Families. May God bless all of you, and may God bless the United States of America.
